Chalk Board project

Lenora has wanted to paint a section of wall with chalk board paint for a long time. So with her birthday coming up next month I decided to use some of my free time, before more fabric and quilt jobs arrive, to make her a chalk board. A long time ago I bought this horrible painting at a garage sale and it's been sitting on our garage ever since.

  I took the painting out, refinished the wood frame and bought a nice piece of birch 1/4" board. I cut the board to size and painted it with the chalk board paint. I love the way it turned out... Couldn't wait for her birthday!  On this door in the kitchen we used to have a dart board so I repurposed the dart board hanger to hold the frame.  I'm gonna run to Hobby Lobby today to look for something to hold the chalk.
