I live in Utah and from what everyone says, Waxwings are plentiful around here, but in the 63 years I have lived here I had never seen one, except in my Bird's and Blooms magazines. My hubby told me he saw hundreds of them when he was growing up. *sigh*...I'll just keep watching. We have a wonderful community of doves, Chickadees, Finches, Sparrows, Jays and Sparrows in both of our gigantic Spruce trees, and Hummers are plentiful after the first week in April, but the Cedar Waxwings continue to elude me. So thanks so much for this 'glimpse' of these beauties. We have a new deck and I'm hoping that as I sit there in the morning's and evenings stitching, some Waxwings will pay me a visit.
